Bath

Yesterday, we spent a lovely day in bath. We ran to the Abbey to meet our tour guide for a 2 hour walking tour all over the city. She was hilarious and I learned so much about the Healing Waters and the city. Man, that lady sure could hoof it up a hill! It was pretty warm outside and the sun was bright, and we all were struggling to keep up because of hunger and dehydration. I did get an awesome tom's tan line though. :) Bath is such a beautiful city!

Doesn't this look like a city in Italy??
The Circus- buildings built in a perfect circle.
The Royal Crescent
I wasn't brave enough to try a glass of the metallic tasting water, but I definitely had a great time walking around the city. Catie, Kelsey, and I found La Iguana- a Latin American restaurant. We were all craving Mexican food, so we went in. We had quesadillas, burritos, and enchiladas. It had more of a chinese flavoring (weird, I know), but we sure wolfed it down. We spent the rest of the afternoon wandering the streets and looking in shops. We were unable to get into the Abbey because of a wedding, but we still were able to have a fun day.

After we got back, we rested for a bit then went on the search for an Italian restaurant. We got a recommendation from the front desk and went in. It was not so pleasantly priced, like the front desk said, but it smelled ah-mazing. So we decided that we would split things and be fine. Well, they tricked us and said that each of us had to order a dish in order for us to eat there. No splitting. BOO! But the spaghetti... wow. It was tasty.

Today we went to church in Bristol. Everyone was so excited to see 27 extra people walking in to a normally small ward, especially the two Elders stationed there. Everyone was so welcoming to us and I was so happy to be in an actual chapel. The Saints in Bristol are so strong and I was grateful to meet them. It was fast and testimony meeting, so the day was extra special, despite my stomach growling so loud in the last meeting that the whole row heard it. :) One of the Elders was from California, and was excited to have some fellow Americans there to celebrate the 4th of July.

In other news, we are officially headed to London tomorrow! It will be so fun being there for 3 weeks, so we can have a little relief from living out of a suitcase. We already have so many fun things planned, and we're definitely planning on packing in tons of things to do in our free time. I absolutely cannot wait!! I hope your 4th of July is wonderful!

Day 27- A song you can play on the instrument. Well that won't work, since I don't play any instruments. SO, I'm going to put on a new song by one of my favorite bands, Beirut. It's called East Harlem. Appropriate, since we just got out of the East Harlem of Dublin. Enjoy.
